The Best Homemade Lasagna
Fill a pot up half way with water and place over high heat
Once water comes to a boil add 12 Lasagna noodles and boil for 8-10 minutes. Once tender drain water and sit noodles aside.
In a pot combine 1- 1/2 bottles of 24oz jars of mushroom sauce, 4-5 tbs of diced tomatoes and 6 oz of tomato paste. Add 1-1/2 tsps of white sugar and 1 tsp of italian seasoning. Stir in well.
Chop up 1 large onion into small pieces.
Place onion in a pan over high heat along with 1 to 1-1/2 lbs of Ground beef and 1lb of sweet italian sausage
Chop up and break meat into small pieces while frying.
Once brown add 1 tbs seasoning salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp of minced garlic, and 1 tsp black pepper.
Cook until well done
Once meat is done drain oil and place into pot of sauce and stir well
In a big bowl combine, one 8 oz pack of shredded Mozzarella cheese, 16 oz of sour cream, 8 oz of ricotta cheese, and some chopped up fresh spinach, about 2 cups of chopped fresh spinach... stir in well
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees
In a pan, coat bottom with a little meat sauce
Add 4 lasagna noodles
Coat with the cream mixture
Add some shredded cheddar cheese and some shredded mozzarella cheese
Coat with 2nd layer of meat sauce and continue until pan is full.
Top with meat sauce, cheese and chopped fresh parsley
Bake for 45 mins
